I was in the Nether, and a ghast hit me with a fireball. The explosion threw me off the platform I was standing on. I didn't take any fall damage at all. I think I landed right next to lava. Also, I was on fire. This bug is quite old

Did you have feather falling boots?
Perhaps the lava saved you from the fall damage?
Yes, this happens to me every once in a while on both Java and Bedrock edition, without Feather Falling or being near liquids.
