I made tipped arrows for my friend to use and when he hit me and I hit him to test them and they didn’t apply the effect to either of us, we went to a test world and tested the other arrows and no effects were being applied my friend does play on xbox and I’m on switch so that could be the problem

I was the friend and when we went on my world it worked fine same for when he created a new world but he has a realm and it doesn't work on that realm or any of his old worlds

I’ve never had this problem on Win10, Switch, or cross-platform between them. Does it always occur for you? Does it resolve with exiting the world and reloading? Could you upload a video of it happening?
I'm playing on Windows 10 edition, version 1.14.60, and tipped arrows aren't applying effects. Potions still work. Oh my gosh, I just found out why tipped arrows don't work. While the game difficulty is peaceful, tipped arrows don't apply effects. I just switched over to Normal mode, and tipped arrows work again!
