MCPE-5204Pre-0.7.3 chests contain darker texture
All chests that are placed before the 0.7.4 update contains the dark texture as if a block has placed above it, while placing a chest on 0.7.4 contains the normal texture.

All chests that are placed before the 0.7.4 update contains the dark texture as if a block has placed above it, while placing a chest on 0.7.4 contains the normal texture.
