MCPE-53816Default Elytra texture (not capes) have no texture at all
When you equip the elytra without capes, or default elytra textures, it doesn't appear at all, instead it shows black texture.

Still affected on 1.14.0.2
There is a lot of reports when you're wearing elytra that went invisible without equipping caps in 1.13, so I included 1.13 as well in the bug ticket
