The bug
If you stop paddling a boat, the paddles reset to their default positions. But if you exit a boat while it's paddling, they remain frozen until you enter the boat again.
How to reproduce
1. Enter a boat
2. Start holding A or D to rotate in place (moving one paddle)
3. While doing so, press shift to exit the boat
