MCPE-61624Crashing, freezing and no longer loading on iOS after latest hotfix
After installing latest hotfix game started glitching where I couldn't move for a few seconds or would move without my controlling the player and as of January 16, 2020 I can play for about 3 minutes and the entire game freezes completely and does not come back. I have to manually close the app by swiping up in the app switcher and restarting. I am not using any mods or resource packs. I am connected to my home wifi and I am either plugged into a charger or close to fully charged.
After reading all of your comments, I see that other issues I did not list but that are happening to me, are happening to others. And, I can't get past the loading screen this morning.

This problem is happening to me too. I freeze in the loading screen when you open up the game, in both worlds and servers, and it usually happens between starting the game to 5-10 minutes after opening a world or server. I have an IOS 13.3 on an IPhone 8, but others are having this trouble so I don’t think this is a OS issue but you never know.
Wow! This was my first time posting and I thought it was probably just me and it would be ignored. Too add to some of your comments, I have also lost tamed, saddled, name tagged horses, almost a stack of diamonds and obsidian vanished completely, my character does not load and reverts me to Steve. I was so frustrated with what was happening in any of my survival worlds and scared I’d lose everything, I started a creative world and am just renovating a woodland mansion. I’ve barely done anything because the game keeps freezing. After posting this last night, I tried again and couldn’t get past the white Mojang screen. So the game is now completely unplayable.

someone make this a priority critical because it’s looking like (and I’m not able to see the code to know but) the game is corrupting. Last time I tried opening the game the loading screen looked insane and before I could take a screenshot it crashed again. I’m worried it may do something to my phone permanently.

I am also experiencing this issue.
Same, I even restarted my phone and then uninstalled the app and reinstalled when that didn’t work. I’ve lost two birds because of this.
Also experiencing this issue, is making the game unplayable
I have the same problem, so I deleted the app. When i re-downloaded, and logged into my microsoft account for IOS, all my purchases and my worlds were gone. please fix this!!
I am having similar problems but I am not sure if it is every three minutes. But I have frozen and lost two horses close by both with saddles and another while riding one with a saddle and golden horse armor. After I restarted and headed back to my house which is next to a village that I maxed out both farmers and almost many other villagers as well as expanding it. They were reset to new villagers; along with the amount. The iron golems I made had also been removed. This glitch has cost me 3 saddles, golden horses armor, 1000+ crops(&hours), 12 iron blocks, and 3 horses.
Sometimes i’ll only get as far as the loading screen before freezing. This is a recent issue and hasn’t happened before. I’ve spent hours on some of these worlds.
Hours after installing the hotfix, game keeps freezing, crashing, or failing to even start. Happens every few minutes. Unplayable.

Warning until this is fixed be careful of tamed horses. It does seem that they will de-spawn when you crash if your riding it or by it for some reason; along with any saddles or armor you have on them. Also don’t travel too far from villages you have maxed out trade villagers in or they will de-spawn. I have a theory this my apply to boats and mine carts. Have not confirmed. I will note I have many tamed cats and none have de-spawned. (Giving details helps them pinpoint the problem)

Also affected, try disabling all packs, uninstalling reinstalling the app but no packs, launch the game in Airplane mode. This so far has seemed to correct the issue for me apart from losing all progress and usage of realms.

same! i was so excited to play after having my lunch when this issue suddenly came up. :'( I hope they notice this issue ASAP. I want to get back in my friend's realm and in my world.
This issue started for me a few hours ago and got progressively worse. At first it was every 10 minutes or so, but then it started doing it as soon as I hit play.
I do believe I have narrowed down the issue. I signed out of my Microsoft account and stayed logged out. I have been playing for almost an hour now with no freezing or disconnects.
I own a realm subscription and currently I am away from home. I decided to download a copy of my world before signing out and I am playing on that. Once I get home tomorrow I will upload my world back to realms and continue playing from the house.
While this is not a permanent fix, it does allow me to play for the time being. I hope that this information helps someone (and helps the dev team locate the issue!)
Agreed this morning it was about once an hour, now if I can even get the game to launch it's a miracle. Typically freezes at the loading or intro screen.
Ditto here. Started as soon as I loaded the new “hotfix”. No fixes here. Just a cataclysmic failure. Ugh.

recently have had trouble with Minecraft on my iPad. I have operating system iOS 13.3.
So basically I have recently had trouble with my screen freezing in games such as servers I was playing. I have also recently been through many crashes before this day. But today I had so much trouble, I had to delete and reinstall MCPE. When I did that, I signed in but right after (it DID sign me in) the screen froze and I couldn't do anything. I reloaded then it had the "loading problem".
I deleted the app and tried again, but this time, before signing in, I created a world and tested it. Nothing happen, nothing froze, it was completely fine. But, however, I signed in again and the same thing happened.
I searched the web but couldn't find a solution to this problem. I tried fixing but it's no luck. It only makes me more and more frustrated. It's my beloved game I LOVE to play with friends. Now I can't....

Same issue, I come on and it might freeze when I’m on the loading screen, when I’m scrolling through different worlds/realms or after being in the game for a minute or so.
First couple of times the game froze after about 3 minutes, now it freezes before I can press play. PLEASE PLEASE FIX
I, too, am having this issue. I actually filed a bug report myself. I get stuck on the loading screen,as soon as I open the app, the screen will freeze after a couple seconds of loading. I didn't even see that there was a hotfix, that's how bad it is for me. I sent in a few files with my report, hopefully something can be done.
I have the same issue, I have tried everything and I just can’t get it to stop freezing can Microsoft fix this please!
If it helps, when I turned off my WiFi and only let the game run on cellular data it doesn’t freeze but then I can’t play with friends. Soon as the WiFi is on then boom it glitches
Can't they just roll back the update? Is anyone from Mojang going to respond?
Worse today than yesterday. Yesterday, could play a few seconds between freezes. My realm loaded sometimes. Unplayable then but today the app won’t even get past the white load screen. Keeps freezing on that screen. Tried over twenty times. All but one froze on white Minecraft. One got to the Play button then crashed hard.
That’s what I’m waiting on. I’ve contacted them before through Twitter. Maybe try a Facebook message...

I would love to roll it back, but I can't seem to find anything at all. It looks like from the number of new bugs being reported this is happening to everyone trying to play on iOS right now. How do they fix something that won't even load? I'm backing up my iPad in hopes I can eventually get back to my worlds. It already seems like bedrock is the last priority for Mojang and Microsoft since so many YouTubers play Java. I think @rachel burton is right, get the attention of a YouTuber and maybe something will happen. I think Ecko plays on all versions including iOS.
Katy Raine, its an xbox live issue, rolling back 1.13 wont do us any good
Same problem here. It’s so disappointing when I pay for a game that I can’t play. I should be refunded for the days that I couldn’t play on my realm.

I have tried to run it without signing into xbox live. It doesn't seem to help. Do you know what to do? I only play minecraft and only on an ipad, I have no idea how it all works. I have only single player worlds, achievements aren't even activated. Can I play without xbox live?
