Changed Description:
When I load my world, it crashes due to an error loading a chest. The chest was placed in 14w21b. It is a "Getting block state" error.
It happens every time I try to load the world. Two crash reports attached.
Changed Environment:
64-bit Windows 7; Java 7; 1G RAM allocated; 9.4 GhZ CPU, 2GB GPU, 4GB RAM on computer

No resource pack installed,
/give @p mob_spawner gives glitched texture
I can upload a screenshot later today.
Screenshot and crash report
Will redownload jar and see if spawner is still glitched
I updated, and it fixed 50% of natural and 0% of custom spawners. The rest are still bugged.
A simple fix is to make mob_spawner 2 and mob_spawner 0 have the same texture
It is like this in 1.7.9
Confirmed for 14w25b
Confirmed for 14w25b
Setting doMobSpawning to false stops all natural mob spawning, not everyone wants that.
You can't put a level 0 into the command. It won't let you, and it was not like this until the 1.8 snapshots.
Confirm
Please fix before 1.8 release! Lucas Mayrhofer did find the problem!
This is a different issue, I have VBOs on and it happens on all render distances.
I did a lot of tests. Some with and some with VBOs. The result is the same. It seems that after even more testing, switching from VBOs to no VBOs or vice-versa fixes the issue. Doesn't matter which way.
This happened to me, similar scenario. AMD R5 230 graphics card. Cannot reproduce on a Nvidia Titan X; even on the same world.
Leads me to believe that this is a graphics card issue.
