I also encountered this bug, but I read online that someone had encountered this bug two years ago and just started to complete the achievement of the time of adventure.

I bought the game and opened and created a map, after walking around, I made sure to pass by no more than 5 biomes, and then the xbox prompted to complete the achievement
same, i just walk around and unlock
For this reason I bought another copy of the game and wanted to complete the full achievement manually, but the bug made me not open the game now.
I bought another game and kept doing open and exit maps 3 times and this achievement unlocked.
