To create a super long powered rail line powered by 1 torch:-place a long line of power rails
-place a redstone torch anywhere near one end
---repeat-----
-place a redstone torch down at the last powered rail
-place a redstone torch down at the first unpowered rail
-break the first redstone torch
-break the second redstone torch
---reapeat----and you will have a super long powered rail line powered by only 1 redstone torch.
And make your description shorter
