Not just cows, seems to be everything.
Same problem here.
This is still a problem in 14w17a. Boats go hardly anywhere. It seems like they go somewhere, but when you get out you're many blocks away. Watching someone else ride in a boat makes it look like they're going, but then they keep glitching back.
Not surprisingly, the color is wrong when shearing sheep as well (but the wool color while it's ON them is right).
No inside texture for the windows but you can still see the other side of the hitboxes through the window....wow.
