So you can use the trident in the rain to give yourself a boost, and with an elytra, this speed quickly comes up. In a singleplayer world this doesn't occur, but in realms the world doesn't generate fast enough, or when I'm above the 256 block limit (correct me if I'm wrong but the world doesn't seem to generate then) it starts glitching and sometimes holding me in the same spot for several seconds.
How to replicate:
In a minecraft realm, set the weather to rain. Have a trident with riptide 3 and a elytra (doesn't need to have enchantments but I had Unbreaking 3 and Mending on mine)
Use the trident to give yourself a speed boost, and then keep doing this. Eventually, you will start hitting an invisible wall, or, if beyond layer 256, start getting lagback.
In good conditions, you can fly 10,000 blocks in a minute, but in the realm it takes four minutes to fly that same distance. You may say that it's the conditions I'm flying in, but really it would only slow me down a bit. So is the glitching above 256 blocks an anticheat thing? If not, what is it? Whatever it is, it's a bug that needs to be fixed.
Update: So after my 10 player realm trial expired I bought the two player version and.. it got worse. Also it does happen in singleplayer but far, far less frequently.
Here's a video of it on the 10 player realm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCBqxKXiZ_A

@Connor Williams: In any case, I would not expect the pigman to die with Strength I and Sharpness 3 because the damage is less than 20. I'm not sure how you calculated 23 for the damage, but it probably involved a formula in which the Strength effect magnifies not only the base damage but the enchantment as well. I don't expect that status effects would magnify enchantments; because potions that can soup up 5 enchantments at no more cost than an unenchanted weapon or tool would be way too powerful. However, it does appear that there are some inconsistencies between the wiki and how the damage is actually calculated. We'll see what the developers say.
In the old days of minecraft, strength was actually another multiplier added up onto the diamond sword. If I'm not clear, damage when you had strength one would be multiplied by 2.3, because you're ADDING 130% more damage, ON TOP of the damage already there. On Java 1.8, i used to play on a server when i would take sharpness 3 and a strength potion and run around killing pigman without any of them getting mad since I one shot them all. Unless something changed without me knowing, it's a bug. However, I will respect balance changes.
