If a daylight sensor is placed in front of an observer it will output for the block placement and then another one randomly. Sometimes it is instant, other times is takes a second, and there are also times it doesn't do it at all. Just to make sure I set daylightcycle to false and it still does it.
Edit: the second pulse occurs from the daylight sensor updating on the 20th tick. However there is a chance that placing it at the right moment will cause the observer to give a single output as both the block placement and the update happen at the same time.
While creating a clock using two observers facing into each other, I found that by quickly breaking and then replacing a piston it leaves behind the head from the old one. This is probably not possible in survival because the player doesn't instantly destroy pistons.
I should mention that the leftover head is considered as an extended piston. Meaning that it cannot be pushed or interacted with. This only works when replacing with another piston (either regular or sticky) and no other blocks that I could find. It is not directional, nor clock dependent. This also happens vertically.
In the video below I demonstrate the process as stated above. My guess is that the piston head is fully extended and the base being replaced doesn't update the head to tell it the original base was destroyed, but now there is a new base. Also at the end of the clip I break one part and both pieces are destroyed, it applies to both ways.
Edit: Optifine is not responsible for the problem. Confirmed on vanilla 1.14.4 and snapshot 19w37a.
If the player enters the crawling/swimming animation while on top of glass, while in 2nd/3rd person perspective, the glass is ignored by the camera. Even the lines that around each glass block are not visible (like in spectator mode). Attached are two video files, one showing with solid blocks, and the other with glass. I do not know if this is intentional behavior, but it is not the case in 1.15.2
Edit: The player doesn't have to enter the crawling animation. The attached pictures (from 20w16a) show that glass is ignored from just the standing position. Also that a wall of glass has similar results. And going back through the versions I have noticed this started happening in the 20w12a snaphot. And as a side-note, this also is the case with glass panes and any colour of glass/pane.

Still not fixed in 1.14.3 or 1.14.4 pre releases
Confirmed fixed in 1.15 pre-1

Can confirm for other random seeds.
Can confirm this hilarious bug.
This has been fixed in 20w14a, although mislabeled as
MC-17206920w14a fix.mp4
Still bugged as of 20w14a
Confirmed for 20w45a, but also the boat now breaks after a couple of bounces.
Slime Launcher Breaks Boat.mp4
Marty McFly, the hitbox of the boat follows the boat. If the question is about it breaking, it still happens when in the center of a 3x3; making it not specific to being over the block. And it also breaks with mobs in it.
MC-107664 is for observers detecting events. This does not involve observers, so it should not fall under the same issue.
Confirm in 21w06a
This issue has been fixed at some point. I am unable to recreate in 1.18.1
Still in beta 1.18.10.24
Creaking also moves in view for wide screen setups at low POVs (shrunk window height in video)
