Been trying to play for the last 2 days and me and my friend have been suffering very violent crashes since the last update. We both cannot play as a result of this.
Also there is an immediate crash when entering the nether.
Source Information (watch from 7 minutes): https://mixer.com/dannydaman9?vod=7631402
This crash completely froze my whole pc. I do have a previous stream available but it is 2 hours long which also records my friend who suffered numerous crashes since the latest update and his also violently crashed his pc after a while.I have tested other games to try to reproduce the issue but it only appears to me Minecraft Realms that is having the problem
EDIT: After looking at the video of the source information. I have also noticed that it has corrupted the stream as the crash was so violent. The player does not recognise that after 8m 14s the PC froze out completely.

UPDATE:
After looking into the realms settings the subscription states: "renew every 0 days"
This could either be a syncing issue or a subscription issue.
Either way the server status on the mojang website states no issues
Good News is that it is not subscription related. It seems to be version related with the realms version. I'm guessing that they are not the same and refusing to talk to each other. Hence the syncing issue.
I believe all platforms that support either the PE or Win 10 edition are affected. I've just tried the pocket edition now and the same thing happens.
You may want to add in that tweet somehow that it is also Windows 10 edition
Just tweeted the following:
"@4JStudios There is a big issue with WIN10E/PE realms at the moment and nobody can connect to realms https://bugs.mojang.com/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/MCPE-21845 … please help 4J"
I can confirm that it is fixed. No need to re-install MC
This is not the same. This bug does not involve the nether. I logged in to days ago to find a drop of 7 villagers to just 3. Yesterday I could that dropped to just one.
I have not been into the nether for this.
Thanks for the comment but I know about doors as I use them for breeding villagers. The ratio is roughly 3 doors for every villager. There are enough doors so I know the shouldn't be despawning.
It is also not possible for my villagers to run away as the are fenced off.
I Decided to do my own testing and I can confirm that this crash only affects realms. I downloaded a version of my server to play as single player and apart from slight lag it works just fine.

Current work around temporarily solves this.
If your game freezes or looks like it is lagging wait 10-15 seconds. If it still does nothing, alt + tab out
Hover over the application tile (where your start bar is) and click the red X.
Reload the game and continue playing.
If you leave the game freezing for any longer you run the risk of a potential whole computer crash which the only fix is to restart your computer manually.
Screenshot 26, 27 are both from downloading the map and viewing it in a universal editor. Apart from 6 entries (cod and salmon) there is no chest in the area which indicates that the chest did not spawn as per the map should have told it to do
Screenshot 28 and 29 shows where the map was picked up from which in this case was a shipwreck. The other screenshot is showing the location of the chest however this is only where it was picked up from and not the buried treasure location.
Windows 10 edition. Happens on both realm and local copy of the world. Another instance happened today and I have attached the co-ordinates. After mining the exact position down to bedrock it is clear that the buried treasure is not spawning.
The world was created by realms and not uploaded to realms. This is the original world that was created a few years ago. Since then it has had every update (obviously due to it won't connect with different versions!). I have downloaded the world but I don't think uploading a 250mb file onto here would be wise! The server seed is -1164146163
I know that it was not found by another player as it is pretty much just me on the server. Furthermore as soon as I get the map I start looking for it. An offline world seems to generate it looking at your reply. An online realms version doesn't seem to generate them correctly.
I would also like to add that the places where the buried treasure should be were untouched areas of the world.
Yet again it has happened. The bug appears to be isolated to previously generated terrain before the addition of buried treasure. I found this treasure map at co-ordinates 2800,64,-768 (approximately). The map leaded me to just after where my base is and has been for several years. I mined all the way down to bedrock and again there is nothing.
REALMS-10656ticket merged to this one. It is not just per session. Changing from survival to creative, spend a while in creative, then switch back to survival also resets the gamerule back to default (True). In my case the doinsomnia gamerule
