You can duplicate rails and trap doors by placing a Sticky Piston right above and next to a Hopper (It should retract a trapdoor\rails right onto a Hopper) and a rail on the other side of it. Using this with a simple redstone clock gives you tons of trapdoors\rails
Extending and retracting the piston will not break the rails itself, but will drop it as an item
Extending, retracting and extending the piston again won't break the rails itself AND will drop it as an item

This little useless
contraption in the first screenshot extends all upper pistons consecutively by turning the lever on and retracts all of them at once by turning it off. The lower line of pistons works as BUDs and updates itself by moving wool blocks. Lower pistons receive indirect power from redstone blocks above.
Now about the bug. After the first retraction second piston in the lower line retracts and extends very fast and creates two arms, extended an retracted each one with proper hitboxes (see attached image). This piston won't work as intended (it can't extend or retract) until you break the extended arm that stops retracted one from extending.
Also, this line of pistons can be continued, causing bug on all of the lower ones, except the first one, but not always.

Looks like if the Piston is trying to extend and retract at the same time, while receiving indirect signal (BUD) from a moving Redstone Block, it creates two arms, both with proper hitboxes, one is extended, second is retracted.
It can be a duplicate of

As of 13w01a you can duplicate rails even easier. Also works with trap doors.
This is intended
since sprinting was implemented
You may want to add your second image as a comment to the
MC-6005. This is a really nice way to reproduce this bugWait.. how exactly you did this? I can't reproduce it your way
OK I got it. I hope you don't mind me adding this way of reproduction to
MC-6005DescriptionTails, wait. I don't think so. I was updating this page, describing why it is not a duplicate and directly related to the new redstone blocks, when you marked it as dupe :c
Alllrighty then
Confirmed in 13w01a-b, this time caused by new Redstone Blocks. Description and a couple of ways to reproduce here:
MC-6005Or I'll just attach a couple of images
Yup, intended and, actually, very useful. Often you need to power lots of com.blocks because they execute only one command, and placing them in pattern Block-Repeater-Block-Repeater allows you to create pretty compact contraptions
I don't think the immediate explosion caused by derailing is a good idea at all. You can accidentally slightly push it off the rails and die for no reason.
Minecarts actually have the minimal speed for derail explosion, but this speed is so little it makes no sence. But explosion, caused by going off the rails on high enough speed sounds like a nice idea. Useless, but nice
Confirmed in 13w02a-b. Unable to make a map-pixel-art :C
All I can see is that you are trying to power a dirt 2 blocks below the door itself. I see nothing wrong here
