Minecraft frequently crashes upon hitting the Escape key. Restarting the game or computer does not appear to help this issue. On a related note, Minecraft will sometimes crash when clicking on the Achievements button after clicking the Escape key. Similarly, restarting the game or computer does not appear to fix this issue. Both of these issues were not occurring in previous Minecraft versions.
This occurs in vanilla Minecraft - no custom packs.

I've experienced this on PC - Windows 10. It seems to occur only when you reload the world and have no respawn (bed) point. I've avoided it by always keeping a bed placed as a respawn point.
