Ghasts' AI has been slightly changed. They cannot see the player unless their hight comes to almost eye level with the player, which is possibly a bug. When attacking, ghasts will now turn their whole body to face the player's direction, and repeatedly strafe left to right around the player while attacking. They now have perfect accuracy with their fireballs, shooting at the player's head, compared to earlier versions when the fireball was previously aimed slightly above the player's head.

I have deleted that comment.
I summoned invulnerable boats for a custom map.
What I expected to happen was...:
I summoned a invulnerable boat 10 blocks above me.What actually happened was...:
The boat gets destroyed like a normal boat.Steps to Reproduce:
{Invulnerable:1}
1. Summon a normal boat 10 blocks above you: /summon Boat ~ ~11 ~
2. Summon a invulnerable boat 10 blocks above you: /summon Boat ~ ~11 ~3. When it falls in the ground it gets destroyed.
{Invulnerable:1}
4. Summon a invulnerable boat: /summon Boat ~ ~1 ~5. Try to destroy that boat (in survival of course).
You will expect that it isn't normal because a invulnerable entity have to be invulnerable.

Zi-Wen Lin: It's still there in the release. I'm not out of attack range. In fact, if you watch the video where I missed a lot at first, you'll see all misses (except possibly one) were at a smaller distance than the eventual hit. The determining factor that made me hit was that I was leading a little with the crosshair. It's odd that the hitbox is effectively offset by about the width of a slime, no?
Maybe it only stands out when you have shooter skills. If you do, it's quite egregious. If you don't, that's why I made these videos to highlight it. You can frame-step through them if needed. You can also categorize your own footage by lead.
I should emphasize that it applies to all 3D aiming and clicking at about the same time; I've misplaced quite a few blocks due to this. This test is merely the least defendable one, chosen so knee-jerk excuses don't make sense.
F3+S will work
I have tried to reproduce 3 times:
1. I spawned some guardians and placed tnt. I activated the tnt with redstone.=> I didn't get damage.
2. I spawned some guardians and placed tnt. I activate the tnt with flint and steel.=> I got damage.
3. I spawned some guardians and placed tnt. I activate the tnt with a flame arrow from a enchanted bow. => I got damage
The activator will get that damage
My game doesn't crash
I have the same thing and it has crash my server.
You have to create a new issue for the endermans.
Because other mobs have this bug too the tittle of this issue is wrong but that is your choice.
You have forgot how to reproduce this bug. You can write it in some steps like:
1. Go in survival.
2. Do /summon Ghast ~ ~20 ~
You can add Minecraft 1.8-pre 2 because it still appears...
The same thing when you place a lever on a hopper.
I can confirm it too and this bug still appears.
Paul Smith, you had an issue about the ghast.
I don't see that you have added it. But take your time. They will notice this later
I can not understand what you mean. I can not reproduce it.
It could be that you are out of attack range.
This is not a bug.... A slime block can move other blocks but a piston can't move 15 block.
This is not a bug... They have changed the size of the hand.
"Added a new player model with smaller arms, and a new player skin called Alex?"
Problem solved XD!
Animals aren't mobs. They can still spawn.
If you change doMobSpawn to true, the mobs will spawn again.
If you change it to false, the Mobs won't spawn
I didn't see what you mean... My fault. But now I see it
You only need 2 pistons because the slime block can move that piston underneath it and the sticky piston can move that slime block.
That piston which move another piston can block the piston above it.
You have only this bug...
The mobs have a detection range. When you stand outside that range they won't detect you and it won't turn his face to you.
But I have tested it in a server and I don't notice it. Only in singleplayer.. I have tested it with ghasts.
I have made a video of it. I can't post it as an attach file.

This is no bug anymore... they have changed it.
confirmed for 1.8.... I have created a issue but it gets duplicated...
That issue it outdated. The reporter have to update it.
I can confirm it in 1.8
I have filled the nbt wrong... XD
I doesn't noticed it.
Humans have delay in response time so that could be the reason why mobs also need delay in response time.
