The only way to play in full screen is by manually resizing it to fit the monitor resolution and positioning it so the border can't be seen.
In multiplayer servers, if you type
/deop
and then press TAB, you'll be able to see who is OP, even if the player doesn't have permission to use /deop.
This is very annoying and is especially bad if your server is on offline mode. (My private video-recording server is on offline mode.)
You can see who is OP by typing /deop and pressing TAB even if the player doesn't have permission to use /deop

Please take a look at the screenshot I have attached. In case you can't read it, which you most likely can NOT because of this bug, it says:
"Please care to explain how not being to read this sign at all is considered "working as intended" behavior. ???"
Erik Broes commented on the previously closed issue that players are responsible for choosing a color that is readable because we chose to use a colored sign. Picking a color other than black that is readable is virtually impossible because of this bug, because it affects all colors, not just the one I used in my screenshot.
I don't understand why you would force the player to use the default black color on signs on 2 out of only 4 possible directions? Especially since colored signs are now possible to create through Vanilla Minecraft,
I find it ridiculousthat the player is punished for a bug in the game. Please reconsider this, Erik Broes.

This isn't a duplicate and I'm also having this issue.
You can see who is OP even if you don't have permission to use /deop.
If that's intended that doesn't really make sense, why would one be able to see who they can deop if they don't even have permission to do it?
I still believe this is not an intended feature, could you please re-review this bug?
Yes, this is still an issue.
A feature in source games is windowed noborder, would Minecraft be able to have something like that?
Not that I really care anymore, but yes, the issue still exists.
No, it is not. The bug has been in the game for years now, I'm amazed how it is still not fixed.
Screenshot of video settings: http://prntscr.com/5w6idu
Proof that it is not fixed in 1.8: http://prntscr.com/5w6jem
Look at the signs in the second screenshot, you'll notice that the colored text is barely readable. The exact same problem also happens with the default texture pack.

I don't seem to be able to find
MC-33304in the bug tracker? lolYes, I mentioned in the report that it is a dupe. However, I'm asking Grum to reconsider, especially since colored signs are now creatable in Vanilla Minecraft through JSON formatting.
It's counter intuitive to say that it is the player's responsibility to find a color that is readable, while the only color that actually works is black. I don't see how unreadable text can be considered "working as intended" behavior.
Thanks
