When empty-handed, the new Vex model makes a gesture that the community has raised as potentially being interpreted as antisemitic. Similar issues have been raised and resolved in the past. This applies to Java too:

Repro:
- Set your Bedrock Edition to be 1.19.50.25 Preview to enable the new Vex model (at time of writing)
- Import the attached world and press the button in front of you to spawn an empty-handed Vex
- Set gamemode to Survival to aggro the Vex (/gamemode survival in chat)
- Note the arm when Vex is aggroed (with red skin) and flying toward the player
