When empty-handed, the new Vex model makes a gesture that the community has raised as potentially being interpreted as antisemitic. Similar issues have been raised and resolved in the past. This applies to Java too: MC-257346 Vexes with empty hand make obscene gesture
Repro:
- Set your Bedrock Edition to be 1.19.50.25 Preview to enable the new Vex model (at time of writing)
- Import the attached world and press the button in front of you to spawn an empty-handed Vex
- Set gamemode to Survival to aggro the Vex (/gamemode survival in chat)
- Note the arm when Vex is aggroed (with red skin) and flying toward the player
Can confirm for 1.19.3 RC-2
This can also happen naturally, for Vex that spawn left handed
Unfortunately this still applies to left handed Vexes in 22w03a, which are the ones you can see naturally in a normal survival world. Should this be re-opened or made into a sperate report..?
