While i was happily building my house in creative mode, I found a bat inside my house, i killed it with a bow. Then when i wanted to pick a block (with my bow in hand) that wasn't in my hotbar it didn't pick up.
What i was expecting : The bow is changed to the block i picked
What happened : Nothing, the bow stood there, in my hotbar
How to reproduce : Have a bow in your hand. Fill 8 hotbar slots with block 1 (example) try to pick block 2, And it isn't picked
Confirmed, and noticed that still works with fire aspect/fire weapons.

It's backwards, If you place the torch, then the lead, it will work, if you place the lead, then the torch, it will remove the lead. Remember that in Enviroment, you need to write the Opperative system, java version, Multiplayer/Singleplayer, if Multiplayer bukkit/vanilla, and if u had mods. Remember that if u had mods, it can have bugs.
Mc 1.6.1, Linux 12.04 LTS, Java 6, Singleplayer no mods, With a pig.
Doesn't happens in Linux 12.04 LTS, Java 6, Creative, Flat.
