Unfortunately, I've tried all of the above. I've even gone as far as to clear my microsoft store cache, attempting to use a different microsoft account. I've gone into the windows console and done all of what microsoft suggests to fix their networking- my NAT type is "open" (according to the xbox app, anyhow) and all things on the microsoft side are going well. I've gone about ensuring that all Microsoft, Mojang, Minecraft, and Java applications are allowed through my firewall, and my antivirus also is completely open to minecraft, Java, etc.
One thing I have noticed is when starting up the game, the launcher takes a particularly long time reading "Downloading 1.45mb/1.45mb", towards the last quarter of the progress bar. This is typically the longest part of loading. (The startup is also rather slow).
