Put your operating system (Windows 7, Windows XP, OSX) and Java version if you know it here
Windows 8.1 (64 bit) Oracle 64 bit Java
Minecraft Launcher is refusing to load 1.7.4 or lower.
I created a new profile specified it as 1.7.2, changed the ram usage to 4 gigs like I always do. Saved the game and proceeded to load. The launcher behaves as if it is loading Minecraft.
What actually happened was...:
It doesn't load Minecraft. I have tried this on several other versions and only the latest snapshot and versions work.Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to Minecraft
2. Create a new Profile
3. Rename, and select Minecraft 1.7.2
4. Change your Ram usage to 4 instead of 1.
5. Save and exit your new profile.
6. Hit PlayNotes:
I have tried deleting and downloading Minecraft frequently and every time it does the same. It's like a repeating process of just not wanting to function properly.
SinglePlayer

Java Standard Edition Version 8 Update 11 64 bit (build 1.8.0_11-b12)
Minecraft Snapshot: 14w30c
The villagers in single player do not behave the same way as their multiplayer counter part. Example: Multiplayer villager farms and breeds, the single player version doesn't farm, pick up items, or even breed without aid. These villagers are spawned from a spawn egg in the 14w30c.
Dotothe fact you will not find this information in file unless played to verify it, I can not provide any other information. Even the log files are useless when it comes to verifying such a bug. Please fix the villagers for well the following update. The villagers in single player do not behave the same way as their multiplayer counter part. I was working on building a city for the villagers sort of like the Sims. The villagers were not reproducing at all giving it was an update I went out to new territory where the rabbits were spawning and went /gamemode 1 to build Docm77's infinite villager creation. It worked great for him but I needed a lot of villagers. I went to sleep to wake up to seeing the same 3 villagers in the bottom pen.
A link to Docm77's video is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFL1K41yKUs&list=UU4O9HKe9Jt5yAhKuNv3LXpQ to build the contraption. The problem is as stated above the farmers are not farming the crops and they are not reproducing any offspring. This is in the single player version & I tested it out on a fresh new world and I get the same result.

@David Pecora Jr.: MC-91610 is about not having any sound at all, this is only about having no automatic background music but rest of sounds.
The Console Log was to long to add in the comments so here it is as an attachment. I hope this helps.
To reproduce this bug follow Docm77's video tutorial on how to get infinite villagers for 14w30c. This must be done in a single player world to reproduce the bug.
This is my log file for the end of my session.
Ignore my bug report. Searching for this yielded no result till after I reported it so it's a duplicate see
MC-91803for original report. Why is this open again? When you turn mobGriefing to false the villagers don't farm, you turn it on they do. Simple Solution: Don't touch the Game Rules. If you change the game rule keepInventory to true they will farm but not pick anything up, thus nothing gets planted. Again the solution to this problem is to leave the game rules alone and use a command block to nullify creeper damage. The same for Endermen use a commandblock to nullify the damage to the terrain in doing this you can safely leave the game rules alone. Need the command lines for the command blocks? Google them. Sometimes I wonder why I even posted this.
Can confirm, also this bug report is a duplicate of
MC-91610.If anyone comes across this bug report please follow it to
MC-91610because both mine andMC-91803are duplicates. I am sorry for the inconvenience. To Kumasasa: The Author of
MC-91610updated his versions and status for effected versions to include the no music within the game or at the title screen. I myself tried playing the game today and noticed a lot of the sound issues have been addressed and I thank you guys for that.
