Mojang should REVERT this patch update immediately because it's totally FUBAR.
Not only can I no longer play with my son on the same PS4 because we can no longer see each other's PS4 characters, but we can't even cross-play around it either.
Since Mojang never fixed the cross-platform age-restriction problem, my son's PS4 MCD can't start an online-game (to keep his character and items) due to "Privilege Error : Cannot play due to age restrictions". I've waded through 30+ webpages on PSN and XBox Profiles to turn off any age-restrictions, restarted MCD, and it's still blocking him.
So, can't co-op play on local machine without one player creating a character to scratch, and can't cross-play because age-restrictions. I've paid a lot of money for two different platform HERO versions and this kind of release-quality control does not reflect that expense.
Also, it's hilarious MCD can eat 49% of a Skylake CPU @ 3.3Ghz and 33% + 50% GPU (Intel + GTX1060) in only the Menu screen. Lots of heavy work in that Menu.
I had similar issues before the ^magical ^ 1.6 patch. MCD (only on PS4 vs PC with the same DS4 controllers) regularly refused to recognize any controller other than P1, for me.
1. Try holding the PS button on P1-> Sound/Devices -> Turn Off Device -> Turn off P1 controller.
2. See if P2 L3, etc, controls now work.
3. If not, rejoin P1 controller by pressing PS button and selecting P1 player.
4. If #2 didn't work, see if it does now.
