Light levels/render distance being affected in well-lit covered structures
Cannot Reproduce
Bed has turned into invisible half slab, interacting with it crashes the Realm.
Cannot Reproduce
Added Affects Versions: 1.12.1
Dave Jervis, this ticket is for the Java Edition of Minecraft, for the Bedrock Edittion please go to https://bugs.mojang.com/projects/MCPE
Yes, this was a new seed generated on the Better Together update. Sorry it took so long to respond!
Yes, this is on the Better Together update on Xbox One.
I have to add that this does still happen as of 4/9/18. We have a sheep color farm that is definitely well-lit, and yet a creeper spawned inside one of the pens. There are torches placed every few blocks to prevent exactly this. This makes 'safe zones' not very safe.
That's rather strange, as I didn't see this effect before the Bedrock edition. So, if you are mining rather close to bedrock, the fog from surface rain would affect your visual distance? That kind of makes no sense. I understand it will be hard to code a difference in rendering in a "structure" versus "outside" so I guess the best bet is to build in dryer biomes. Thank you for the response!
Confirmed again on Bedrock edition on Xbox One. Watched a creeper spawn in the block right next to a torch. Within moments, a skeleton, spider and zombie spawned in the same area, in which torches have been placed a maximum of 4 blocks apart. Only half-slab blocks prevent mob spawning.
Okay, it resolved itself. Placing a cobblestone piece next to the invisible slab "broke" it (with accompanying sound and particle effect) and it is now gone.
Can confirm this still happens to tamed cats in Xbox One Bedrock version. Cats will take damage and die when in a boat in deep water.
This is still an issue in the current (1.4 after Aquatic Update Phase 1) Xbox One version in a Realm. A named skeleton horse has lost the name tag. The horse did not despawn, it still remains in the enclosure, but the name has disappeared. Unfortunately, 3 other skeleton horses (also in enclosures) did despawn completely. A birdcage containing 5 parrots, fenced off with no access by either mob or player, is now down to 2 parrots. Random sheep are missing from the animal enclosure.
This potentially is caused by the same issue, as the Drowned attack radius while they are in the swimming animation extends to about 2 blocks away. Only occurs if they are 'horizontal', otherwise attack radius is normal. This becomes very bad if they get in a boat, as they are stuck in swim animation and have a large attack radius.
Can confirm in latest (1.12.0) bedrock version. Zombie spawner is set for farming. After 2 hours, not a single armor piece showed up on zombies. They rarely had held items such as carrots but not very often. No armor spawns of any material at all. Regular spawned zombies (including husks and drowned) also do not have armor pieces.
Oh, I must state that I am getting all forms of zombies from the spawner, regular, baby, villager and baby-villager.
Ye gods, yes this is happening! The baby villagers even 'kick' adults out of their established beds, making so trades cannot refresh. This forces you to get rid of available farmland for villagers, and to have to 'purge' all of the unemployed so the beds can be reclaimed. This is an ongoing issue since the latest 1.12 update.
Can confirm this bug as well. Triggered 3 separate raids in an established village, and no achievement. This village is walled off, and no pillagers actually made it inside. Does this disable the achievement?
Playing on Xbox One, 1.12.
Can this be looked at? I don't see any traction on this issue, and it continues. To repeat, no mobs spawn in my Realm wearing armor at all. Regardless of source (spawner, natural) there is no armor on these mobs!
This issue goes even deeper than this. I have reported a separate bug where mobs are not spawning with any armor or handheld items at all. I have had a Realm for about 2 weeks, standard vanilla 1.14 Bedrock on Xbox, and not a SINGLE piece of armor has spawned on any mob. I have a zombie spawner set for collection right by the main village for the world, and no person playing on the Realm has seen any armor appear. We get all variants of zombie, baby, villager and regular. No items, ever. This Realm is used by people on the Switch, PC and Xbox, and the results are the same.
Please fix this! I depend on these drops for armor and xp!
Villagers have never been able to wear armor. This won't work no matter what you attempt, as it is not a feature.
Yes, this is happening all over. The mobs in my world are not spawning with armor/gear at all. So, all I get from spawners are rotten meat and sometimes veggies. Bows are inconsistently dropping from skeletons, and they are always at full health, never enchanted.
That's not what Respiration does. Respiration increases the time you can spend underwater by reducing the 'bubble meter' usage by certain degrees. This enchantment works fine in my Realm, we use it for treasure finding in shipwrecks all the time.
I can sympathize with this person. This is the 5th bug report on the same issue.
Guys, the mobs are not spawning with items. Can this be fixed? A lot of us depend on these drops!
This is still an active issue as of 1.12.1 in Bedrock (playing on Xbox One). Not only are mobs being spawned outside of enclosures that they were in previously, the behavior now extends to villagers. Lately, the villagers have been appearing *inside *fenced areas they should not have access to. In addition, villagers have been found in the ocean biome 100+ blocks away being attacked by Drowned. These were my villagers, as one was a fully-leveled Shepherd villager. It was suspected that a person in the Realm was killing them, now we find them in the ocean swimming around as if placed there.
This is still an issue as of 1.12.2, playing on the Xbox One as of 9/22/2019 on a Realms server on Easy. No mobs spawn with any gear at all. There is no armor nor weapons besides base broken bows from skeleton mobs. Rarely will mobs drop handheld items such as carrots and potatoes, but at no point do they spawn with armor or weapons. This has been an ongoing issue for months now. Is there a resolution?
I also reported this, as the villagers actually are not disappearing, but being teleported several hundred blocks away.
Bump. Need to keep.this issue cutrent, as there has been no traction.
Just realized that some steps were neglected:
Version: Bedrock 1.12.1
Steps to reproduce: Wait for natural or spawner mobs to appear. That's kind of it. Note the lack of equipment,.
Tested by going into Creative mode and dropping 100 spawn eggs of both skeletons and zombies. In 100 attempts of each, no armor or tools spawned on mobs, only standard drops were collected.
This occurs on all versions of Bedrock current version (1.12.1). Cured a zombie villager, who became Fisherman. UI indicated that this villager had had a trade performed (some progress on trade XP bar) which is impossible as this zombie villager was a natural spawn, not a villager converted by a zombie attack. No other jobsite blocks except for Lectern for 300 block radius, never changed profession. Cured villager acts as if an initial trade was performed, locking the profession
This is still an issue as of this morning, November 13th. Players on a shared Realm using a variety of devices are all experiencing Realm disconnect and rollback. The rollbacks are going from 5 to 20 minutes back, which is making projects almost impossible to complete. Xbox One version has had update, was this applied to all platforms? Please fix this! Perhaps a reversion to 1.12 is necessary until all features have been corrected?
Please reopen this issue, is not resolved!
As of this morning, the crashing issue is somehow even worse. We are unable to be in the Realm for more than 10 minutes before a crash and rollback. Realms are UNPLAYABLE currently. Maybe get this one to the top of the stack, before subs start being dropped!
