Have you beat the arch-illager in classic mode? The runes only work once you've beaten the game, and visited the church-like area. Search it up on youtube. I hope this helped.
When selecting your character, it sometimes glitches out and makes it look like you have nothing equipped. When you go to play MCD, usually it shows you the blue light where your character would be. As you're on the ps4, use L1 or R1 to switch between characters on the character selection screen. Wait a little bit for you're armour and weapons to load to make sure you're selecting the right character, as dungeons seems to make a equipment-less version of your character, then press play. I hope this helped.
It's just a skin colour change. Nothing big like what happened with the hero capes. Mojang should add the ability to change your character's skin colour though.
I noticed this. I'm not sure about the new pet parrot added recently though. However, I do know that the pet chicken can activate mines too. (The energy orbs summoned by the redstone golem)

If you hack in items, you should expect these things to happen. However, crashes are still bad, so hopefully it gets resolved.
