As https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/406240/225782 explains, attempting to join a LAN game without an InterNet connection causes it to state that it is unable to connect to the authentication servers, whereas solely one user being connected to the InterNet causes it to state that the session is invalid.
This shouldn't be necessary when connecting via LAN offline.
Attempting to join a LAN game without an internet connection causes it to state that it is unable to connect to the authentication servers, whereas solely one user being connected to the internet causes it to state that the session is invalid. Although not directly actionable, noteworthily, if I use mods when I induce this error, I see a third message: "The authentication are currently down for maintenance". Once connected, the InteNet connection is unnecessary. This shouldn't be necessary when connecting via LAN (offline).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_update> A delta update is a software update that requires the user to download only those parts of the software's code that are new, or have been changed from their previous state, in contrast to having to download the entire program.
I propose that this be implemented into the launcher, because downloading .jar files and their bitmap assets each update requires some serious time on slow connections.

Observed Results:I am unable to format text in the system-provided "Environment" field.
Expected Results:
As external documentation explains, the default "Environment" field is unformatted. However, it would be significantly more useful it were formatted, because:
- It would permit reporters to include environment YAML from kinfo on the KDE Plasma 6 DE;
- It would provide installation instructions to reference a specific commit of a compilation when using the flatpak package. This is necessary on OSes where dependencies like glibc aren't natively available. An example is Alpine Linux, which uses musl, so glibc needs to be emulated. Valid MC bugs can still come from such installations;
...etcetera.
Notes:
This official explanation provided in response to a user previously requesting this explains how the field can be replaced with a custom one, which should include formatted text.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enter formatted text in the environment field. As an example from another bug:

I am unable to format text in the system-provided "Environment" field.
Expected Results:
As external documentation explains, the default "Environment" field is unformatted. However, it would be significantly more useful it were formatted, because:
- It would permit reporters to include environment YAML from kinfo on the KDE Plasma 6 DE;
- It would provide installation instructions to reference a specific commit of a compilation when using the flatpak package. This is necessary on OSes where dependencies like glibc aren't natively available. An example is Alpine Linux, which uses musl, so glibc needs to be emulated. Valid MC bugs can still come from such installations;
...etcetera.
Notes:
This official explanation provided in response to a user previously requesting this explains how the field can be replaced with a custom one, which should include formatted text.
Steps to Reproduce:Enter formatted text in the environment field. As an example from another bug:

I am solely able to utilise the demonstrative mode when I reboot without connection to the internet. I have been able to utilise the full game if I have connected to the internet previously without rebooting, but that has been inconsistent. This problem usually affects me whenever I am not able to connect to the internet. I have not signed out and in since I migrated. I migrated via the launcher.
Has 1.19 remediated this problem?

@JervieA20, please read the entire environment statement — I've tested this on https://launcher.mojang.com/download/Minecraft.tar.gz too. I provided the alternative information because it provides actually actionable environment information. However, I've redacted it now.
@zTxrbq, it occurs in vanilla environments. The "The authentication are currently down for maintenance" from https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/406240/225782 is a slightly different error message for a slightly different error. I had it confused with another. Please disregard it. I've updated the issue description.

I have been notified by e-mail that this was reopened. I shan't ever have enough information to provide what you want, since I didn't take a stack trace. You needn't reopen this. Thanks, though.
Apologies for reporting this incorrectly originally - I was younger then.
It functions again, now!
I've uploaded https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/593049/2024-10-18%2000-37-00.mp4, which at least demonstrates that it doesn't occur in the initial download stage anymore. I'll test the rest later.
In fact, it's very resilient - changing networks and then back doesn't prevent it downloading whatsoever! It merely resumes as before.
Indeed, per https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/593050/2024-10-18%2000-42-17.mp4, this has definitely been remediated.
For reference, the full log is undermentioned:
Thanks, @KennyTV. I didn't see a way to post at https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us, so I'll try to post at the graphics forum channel in the Discord server:
However, it appears that URIs inside the posts are blocked, and trying to ascertain what's permitted activates slow mode each time, so it'll take a while.

This is ridiculous - per this response, the FR has been closed as a bug! This is recursive. Where do I post it now?
Indeed, @zgajak, it doesn't anymore. I was finally responding to the original closure rationale message to inform them that the issue had been resolved.
Thanks.
Even for Jira?
I'm aware of that. I reference it a few times. If you read the citation, this is the decision of the instance administrator, not Atlassian, the software vendor (they could change the default, but they shan't, so they allow the instance admins to decide in their stead).
Thanks for the explanation. I've posted https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/31456273967885-The-Jira-Environment-field-is-unformattable.

Has anyone filed an official FR at Discord or the Feedback website for this?
I presume that this is considered to be a feature request, then? Irrespective, those hyperlinks to the Discord server don't send me to an appliable channel, and I do not see any that permit FRs to be posted. Can you elaborate which I should post this in?
