Apologies for reporting this incorrectly originally - I was younger then.
I've uploaded https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/593049/2024-10-18%2000-37-00.mp4, which at least demonstrates that it doesn't occur in the initial download stage anymore. I'll test the rest later.
In fact, it's very resilient - changing networks and then back doesn't prevent it downloading whatsoever! It merely resumes as before.
Indeed, per https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/593050/2024-10-18%2000-42-17.mp4, this has definitely been remediated.
