On PC. I experienced this bug (Crash = Delete/Corrupt Save) in October, Sept, Nov, and Dec of 2021. Each time the program crashed for various reasons (Unknown Program Crash x1, Power Outage Reboot x3). Each time, my save was wiped or corrupted. So I am sorry to say, the problem does not appear to be resolved on PC. I gave up playing after the last time and put the game away. I recently purchased the Hero Edition as well as the DLC's as I really enjoyed the game when it wasn't wiping my saves once a month. I do not know if it could be related to the issue, but when the game wiped the saves I was playing the Xbox Game Pass version on PC.

I have yet to have any crashes with the Hero Edition but I have only had it for about a week and have not experienced one of our infamous power outages we seem to get periodically. The easiest fix for this would be cloud saving for the characters that automatically restore if there is an issue. That it doesn't exist in this game in 2021 is concerning.
