I had an old world type world where I deleted all the blocks in the world. When I log on with this new update, there is extra terrain generated around the edge of where the existing world would be

Edit: I tried again with an unmodified old world and extra terrain is still generated

Yes, I did use a third party app to delete blocks

I opened another old world in the current version 1.20.15 that I last saved before this bug took effect and the extra terrain is still added
when I tried with 550+ maps the file size only went up by about 1 megabyte
happens to me on pc too
Yes, structures do seem to generate normally, however the world seems to stuck on 1.17.40 generation as is the case with old worlds
this seems to have been fixed in a recent version(this is my old survival world)
