REALMS-10638I've been muted for no particular reason on my personal Realms server that I am paying for. I can't post messages, make signs or even whisper. I don't remember posting anything that might even be picked up on a censorship filter, though I've seen issues with the word West on this forum.
How can I disable this feature for my adult only private server or at least pardon people so we can play the game? This is extremely unprofessional and not at all a "feedback" issue. Why should I pay Microsoft for a server if I can't have control of the chat in said server?
For clarification, I'm posting this in bug reporting for the following reasons:
There is no notification for my account that anything is wrong.
I have no recollection of saying anything to activate the filter
There are no settings in Realms and no console command to restore normal chat operations
There is extremely poor information regarding this update or what to DO about any of this.
I'm in the same boat, but as a server owner on Java edition. I don't even remember typing anything the server might censor, but lo and behold, when I logged on today, my buddies can't see any of my messages and anything I type onto signs immediately disappears. It's very aggravating to not have any control over this when I'm the one handing you guys part of my paycheck.
Edit: I just tried whispering as well, and that is also muted. It is infuriating to not have control of this. If this issue is not dealt with quickly I'm closing my realm and taking my business elsewhere.
Java edition, windows 10 on Realms, meaning the most recent version. All that info is on the bug report page… if you need it spelled out it’s 1.19.1
yes it’s Realms and no, none of the other reports mentioned fully encompass the problem I’ve listed here.
9191 claims only other people cannot read their signs. I post a sign and the text goes blank for both myself and others.
9150 claims there is a delay between sending the text and seeing it on the server. For me the text appears immediately, but with the message “your text has been hidden from some players on the server”
10191 claims both parties cannot see the others’ chats. My friend could send messages that I could see just fine, but my messages were hidden from them.
