1. Place a stick piston.
2. Place a black or dark gray clay block on the sticky end.
3. Use a power source to push and pull the block.
4. Observe the pinkish bugness!

This will break automatic chicken farms.
I can confirm this too. The viewpoint while sleeping is one block higher than standing on the bed.

This is extremely easy to reproduce! The chickens are suffocating while jumping.
1. Create a 2 block deep hole, and place water in the bottom space.
2. Spawn several chickens inside until they start jumping.
3. Place a solid block directly above the hole, and watch all of the chickens die from suffocation.
This hopelessly breaks so many different hopper functions, that any kind of synchronization or timing becomes an issue. When using hopper systems, no matter how well timed all of the other components of the system are, the whole thing becomes dysfunctional the second you log out. Very frustrating and took me forever to find! Please please please fix this Mojang. Pretty please?

Confirmed. I'm locked out of a few of my worlds.
(Edit: I also tested an item frame in a new world, and the game crashed again.)
Confirmed. They appear and disappear just like trying to use a hostile spawn egg on peaceful.
This still happens in 14w20b.

This is certainly still a concern in 1.8-Pre3. The test is extremely easy to do.
I tried it and got the wrong ordering before I even logged out. After re-logging, it was even worse.
Changing the location of the power source changes the outcome further.
It's possible that this is related to MC-11193.
