MC-116638Oak Wood in Recipe Book
When minecraft is launched and a world opened in any of the current 1.12 snapshots the recipe book with Oak Wood appears to be glitched. I have tried all ways to put Oak wood into my inventory and for it to pick it up. I have taken it out of all containers in the game, mined it, and gotten some from Creative Mode. However, when I put a piece of Dark Oak wood in my inventory, it found it and said 'New Recipe Unlocked". When I checked the recipe book it showed the recipe for Dark Oak Planks

Cannot confirm for 17w16b, maybe you accidentally took the recipe or upgrading from a previous snapshot might have caused it since the way gained recipes are stored changed as far as I know, which would make this report invalid since upgrading is not necessarily supported for snapshots.
Can you please try using the following commands and then pickup a log again?
Thanks, worked great! Also, the first command didn't work so I changed it to /advancement revoke @p everything. I then used the 2nd command and it said I didn't have the recipe. After that collected a log and it logged all the recipes.
Fixed in previous version.
