The bug
No toast notification is shown for the first advancement a player makes.
This is a general problem and does not only affect "Minecraft" (story/root) despite it usually being the first advancement a player makes.
How to reproduce
- Create a new world
- Put a crafting table in your inventory to unlock "Minecraft" (story/root)
→ No toast for the advancement is displayed - Create a new world
- Put obsidian in your inventory to unlock "Ice Bucket Challenge" (story/form_obsidian)
→ No toast for the advancement is displayed - Put a crafting table in your inventory to unlock "Minecraft" (story/root)
→ A toast is displayed
