MC-14427Signs bug - cyrillic letters.
I can not write with cyrillic letters on the signs. But I can write
on ukrainian (or russian) only in the chat and command block boxes.
LWJGL version: 2.9.0
Language settings: Українська(Україна) - Ukraine
- I wanted to write a sign on my native language (ukrainian), using cyrrilic alphabet.
- I can not write with cyrillic letters, I can use only latin alphabet.
What I did:
1. I put the sign.
2. I changed my keyboard layout to ukrainian (ctrl + left shift or ctrl + left alt).
3. I tried to write a sign on ukrainian.

This looks like a similar problem to
MC-7374.Not sure why that bug report has been handled as a duplicate of
MC-3305because the summary and description doesn't look like the same problem at all.I have checked that I can't type Japanese on signs in 13w16a.
(Just simply copy-pasting something like "これはテストです" would be enough to reproduce the problem)

MC-7374rather thanMC-3305because this is not a font bug.This should be set as a duplicate of
MC-7374andMC-7374should be reopened.All these bugs are the same. It is not font problem. It is problem with file font.txt. This file contains all accepted by minecraft chars. By default this file contains only latin chars.
For russian (may be for some other languages) there is second bug in old LWJGL library.
As far as I know
MC-3305was originally an bug which typed wrong letters instead of Cyrillic (which probably was an LWJGL bug).It seems though that all other issues relating to font.txt has been set as duplicate of that issue which makes it confusing.
