MC-1912Can't pick up items dropped in hollow space of stairs
This used to be a really old annoyance, but should be considered as a bug.
When you drop any kind of item in the empty space between the stairs, you will not be able to take it back. Maybe enlarging the player's reach's radius can solve this.
