MC-1936No Chest-breaking animation since Beta 1.7
There is no Chest-breaking animation (since Beta 1.7). Might be a small bug, but its annoying and should not be that much work to fix

Yup, can confirm this. Little bit annoying but not gamebreaking.
I would love to see this fixed it drives me insane not knowing how far along i am breaking it same with signs
