The hat layer of a player's skin still renders on the social interactions screen when it's disabled
The second layer of the player's skin renders on the social interactions UI without the hat equipped.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Join a multiplayer/LAN server
- Turn off the Hat layer in skin customization
- Open the social interactions screen
Expected Result:
The hat layer would not render on the social interactions screen similar to the Tab player list.
Observed Behavior:
The second layer is still shown, despite being disabled.

I can confirm that this is an issue in 1.17.1.
The hat layer of a player will always render in the social interactions GUI, regardless of whether players have it turned OFF or ON in their skin customization settings. As already stated in this report, this issue is inconsistent with how the hat layer functions in the tab list. (In the tab list, if players have their hat layer turned off, it won't be visible for all players).
