What are your graphics set to?
Particles can only be shown through tinted/stained glass if your graphics settings are set to Fabulous.
Duplicate of
MC-188529, which was later resolved as "Won't Fix". You can switch to the "Fabulous!" graphic settings in order to resolve this issue, as stated above already.Thank you for your report!
