MC-23207Mac Full Screen Black screen
Whenever I press fn + f11 to run full screen on the latest version of minecraft, it turns my screen black. Even when I put on full screen mode it turns it black. I can still hear noises and press menu buttons and things like that, but I can't see anything. How do I fix this? This is not resolved yet despite what the status said, some mod said it was a duplicate of another glitch and it is not.

To Kumasasa : Yes I saw that, but it is wrong in my opinion.
MC-6665 describes a crash when switching to full screen. MC-21603 and MC-23207 describe a black screen when switching to full screen BUT NO CRASH - on my setup, the game continues to run, and it works ok without restarting when I press F11 again to revert to windowed mode.
So MC-21603 and MC-23207 may be duplicates but neither MC-21603 nor MC-23207 are similar to 6665, despite them being tagged as duplicates of MC-6665.
Is your Java up to date (Use software update to check)
I thought that was the problem so I updated to the latest java version and it didn't fix anything

MC-6665This bug is said to be resolved, but I'm still experiencing it in 1.6.2 (Mac OS 10.6.8, Java 1.6.0_51. Game works fine in windowed mode but black screen when switching to full screen.
Finally someone else who has been experiencing the same thing as me! The one mod said it was a duplicate of

21603 is also said to be resolved, but we're still experiencing something very similar. It may be noted that 21603 also happens in Mac OS 10.6.8

Relinked and MC-21603 reopened.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.
Here is a report of a manually triggered crash. I triggered the crash while the game was running full screen (black screen then)

Do you get anything strange in the launcher console ?
I have the same problem. There is no crash at all, the game is still running except the screen goes black when you fullscreen. In my launcher there is nothing strange. I downloaded the old launcher (that goes to 1.5.2 max) and there I can play minecraft full screen without any problems.
How is this issue resolved?

im not sure if its the same thing but when i start minecraft on 1.6.2. on fullscreen it just goes black , i dont hear anything and when i press command alt escape the black just disaapears and i dont see the icon anymore ... please fix soon . P.S. i dunno if it will help but this is on mac
