1) Open a new world in 1.17.1 version with the settings "large biomes"
2) Close the world and upgrade that in 21w39a snapshot
3) Type /locatebiome lofty_peak or /locatebiome stony_peaks
4) Notice that the biomes have not peaks

Invalid, changelog said that blending hasn't finished yet
Large biome world types aren't even re-implemented on the current snapshot, so it is expected that this happens. Not sure if valid though.
Can confirm also this has nothing to do with biome blending
