MC-252056The minecraft:item.armor.equip_generic sound is produced when giving piglins gold ingots
The Bug:
The minecraft:item.armor.equip_generic ("Gear equips") sound is produced when giving piglins gold ingots.
This issue was not present in 1.18.2 or 22w19a.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Obtain a gold ingot and summon a piglin.
- Give the piglin the gold ingot and listen closely as you do this.
- Take note as to whether or not the minecraft:item.armor.equip_generic sound is produced when giving piglins gold ingots.
Observed Behavior:
The minecraft:item.armor.equip_generic ("Gear equips") sound is produced.
Expected Behavior:
This sound would not be produced, just like in 22w19a.

how many times did you find something that plays the gear equip sound ??
This issue has been fixed in 1.19 Pre-release 2.
