Various JVM crashes; can cause BSOD (1.18.2-1.19.2)
Recently clean install my operating system. updated all drivers(gpu/OS/etc...). Installed minecraft launcher via microsoft store. I have previously(2 years ago) migrated mohang/microsoft account.
Created Issue:
either I get a crash report during mojang splash screen or my computer crashes(BSOD), tried many versions(1.18.2-1.19.2)

1.19.x requires Java 17. I believe jre1.8.0_341 is considered Java 18. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

jre1.8.0 is Java 8. However all the crash logs report that the bundled Java 17 is used, not the separate Java 8 installation.

So it seems like this could maybe be caused by a faulty JVM installation? But I'm not sure. Could you try whether reinstalling Minecraft completely solves the issue?
Ok, I tried your suggestion and uninstalled then installed Minecraft. I crashed again. I added the log to the list of logs above. "NEW1_After_Re_Install_hs_err_pid5156.log"
Does Minecraft 1.17.1 work on your computer?

Do you think there may be some workaround to get any of the higher versions working again? If
not I guess I'll play this version in the meantime. I took a backup of my saved folder but I guess it wont work on this version. oh well.
I'm good with this for now but hope there is some solution so I can upgrade versions in the future.
