MC-3338Dots in sideways logs
I was making a house with some sideways logs and when i looked at the area between 2 logs, i would see strange dots. its really annoying and hope to see it fixed

I checked and I can confirm this for several blocks and items. From what I see this is not a graphics card issue. This is an issue with some of the faces of the 3D models not properly aligned. Such white or otherwise wrong colored dots or pixels can bee seen at:
I get this too on my log cabin. It's like the textures don't quite match up.
EDIT: Actually, are you sure this is still happening in 1.4.4? I just went and looked again and can't get it to show up at all in my log cabin, where I used to notice it all the time.
What videocard?
Can confirm. AMD Radeon 6700, latest drivers (12.10)
Only sideways logs show this effect, regular logs not.
I have an ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500
This seeems fixed for me in snapshot 13w02a
interestingly, redstone blocks have developed this problem, seems worse with redstone than it was with sideways logs.
yea, i just checked the latest update and it happens for all of the blocks
Resolved as duplicate of MC-1794
Actually I still get this, and its even worse, it shows up on every block. Idk if its relevant, but my moniter is one of the square ones, not a widescreen
