MC-42121no mobs spawn in moonlight
I am only seeing spawns in super dark area's like underground , roofed forest ect. it seems even moonlight in the desert is keeping mobs from spawning.

Update : I backed up my saves , cleared the. minecraft file , and the minecraft.exe and started over once i put back in the saves . the problem is resolved , stuff is spawning for now .

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
I have the same issue. The sl value in debug screen stays 15 even in the night (this isn't supposed to be right?)
edit using 1.7.4 on Mac 10.9 with JRE 1.7_45
edit 2 After backing up saves resource packs and server.dat, removing the rest from the minecraft folder, and reinstalling everything via the launcher, the bug was fixed.
edit 3 After playing some more, things still seem to be weird. In some areas of my world, no hostile mobs spawn at night. In some, only zombies seem to appear (and i've looked very thoroughly), and in some, all mobs spawn.
Bug report with forced crash, hope this helps.
Sorry for the spamming, but it does seem like an issue with the light values in game. sl stays at 15 outside no matter what, causing rl to be 15 as well.

here it is no mobs , normal diff.
and no comments about my framerate , this is an old vidcard , I am getting a whole new computer soon the better vid card fried.
ok here is a crash report from a biome where i am having this issue at night , and i will upload a screenshot from at the same time , normal difficulty survival no cheats .
I also tried re-installing and clearing the .minecraft files , I get a random spider now and then but nothing else . as soon as a switch back to 1.7.2 everything spawns like i am used to.
Ok, I was thinking maybe it's only in older worlds, since my new ones don't seem to have the issue.
