MC-442012 accounts on at the same time
ok a person i added to minecraft Realms [Gh0st_Girl] had someone come on the server with her name and she was already on the server.
What I expected to happen was...:
this not to happen
What actually happened was...:
2 [Gh0st_Girl] comming on the server
Steps to Reproduce:
1.i think some1 created the same username at the same time as her and it made 2 accounts with the same user name

You can actually have several instances of minecraft open at once. So it's possible to be on two different multiplayer servers at the same time. Now saying that, the server should look for duplicates of the same name and kick both if they are both active at the same time. Can you confirm that they were the exact same name not an extra _ in it or a space after Girl?
Now noting the last commenter this is not an ip multiplayer this is minecraft realms where you have to imput the persons user name for them to be added to the realm and you can not have a space in your user name in minecraft.
My last statment may still be accurate. I'm not sure how realms works but its possible it doesn't do a player check to see if there is more than one instance of the player on at a time (just like having to instnaces of minecraft open doesn't check to see if your already logged in). It may be that your friend opened two instances of minecraft and then logged in through both clients.
Th3F4114n0n3, even so you can't log in twice with the same account. I've seen this a few time but not repetitively.
You mean to the same server? Cause I've had two instances of minecraft open at the same time and logged in to my SSP and SMP worlds with no issue. I've never tried to multiplayer worlds though so I wouldn't know in that. I was just offering the opinion due to the previous statements

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 14w10c / Launcher version 1.3.10 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
i have figured out the bug, what happens is the server freezes but the client dose not, as a result when reloging u will not disconnect on the server, but duplicate yourself (i actually killed my duplicate, so it is a major bug that involves item duplication too.) not a snapshot it is minecraft realms

all bugs have recently been fixed with the recent realms update
