MC-45290The server I run on my pc has a specialized issue.
The problem my server has is that once I start the server, if my friends do not immediately the server it won't let them on at all. The only way they would be able to get on is if I restart the server launcher. My server at one point used to not have this problem. The error report people receive when they join is "java.net.ConnectException: Connection Timed Out: no further information". This problem is server side.
From this would you be able to tell what the problem is, minecraft or non-minecraft related? I've had this problem for over a year across all the updates.

Please attach the server.log (from start to having this issue)
Please set up a new server with the same server.properties in a different directory and post whether it works or not.
There, if you want me to include anything else as well just let me know. Could you explain exactly what you mean by setting up a new server in a different directory? Thanks.
I have my server file saved in a folder on my desktop, would you suggest moving that to my roaming file where .minecraft is?
Just tried out your suggestion Robert and it worked! I saved it in my documents folder and that made all the difference. Thanks a lot.
