In Minecraft ore emerald can be broken with a minimum iron pickaxe, but the block emerald can be broken with all the pickaxes.
I found a bug: the ore emerald can be broken with a minimum iron pickaxe, but the block emerald can be broken with all the pickaxes. I hope I have been of help

I would say that a similar inconsistency is when stone slabs and stairs can be broken and don't drop the cobblestone variants. Lol no one typed here for 6 years.
Unknown if intentional.
I don't think this is a bug. as the blocks are crafted. if it is then enchantment table should only be able to mine with a diamond pickaxe
It differs from how Diamondblocks behave however.
Of gold, lapis lazuli, iron, diamond, and emerald, the required pickaxe material differs from ore to block only with emerald, leading me to think that this is unintentional or at least undesirable.
Sort of like how an Enchantment Table can be mineed with any pickaxe, despite containing diamonds and obsidian.
