Everything's Gone
So I was building a minigame, and went to update to 14w26c and all the snow, signs, heads, sticky pistons, everything was gone. (The grass was still there, so was the dirt.) I went back to 14w26b and everything was back. "Phew!" I thought. Then I went to put an item in a chest and all the chest was empty! "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

14w26a/b is corrupted, use a backup from before 14w26a.
I didn't backup
in forever other than 14w26b
I'm just going to stay in 14w26b.
As stated on the website:
If you are updating from 14w26a or 14w26b, your saved world has corrupted blocks and it will be heavily damaged once you open it in 14w26c. Please use a world backup that was saved with a pre-14w26 version.
Never use snapshots without first making backups of your saved worlds.
Wow, I change my mind pretty fast.
Mojang literally says after every snapshot to backup your save files, and then people are like pfff nothing will happen
14w25b, I was not able to make a backup, (I didn't have my hard drive I make backups on.) so I had to make one in 14w26b/c. Unfortunatly, I have to re-build my mushroom farm.
My hard drive has 1.8 TB of space (yeah, IK it's ironic
) so I use it to make backups.
You could've made a temporary backup on your normal hard drive.
You could of also just saved the back up in a folder on your desktop
true, I guess I didn't think of that.
