Works As Intended
The Water Bucket in the furnace now takes the water from a sponge.
Nothing about water bucket. I want this empty bucket in lover chest. Like it was before.
I think that the "Work as Intented" is incorrect, if the player wants to get the water from sponge he won't place a hopper below the furnace.
What about brewing stands? The hopper takes potions away before they are done brewing, that logic doesn't follow.
Is there some direct info from the devs?
It is not proper operation.
This is a bug. Is it adds new features to then change them and it totally does not make sense?
Added images with descriptions in their names.
It would be really unfortunate if
MC-7191regressed because of the new wet sponge - furnace functionality. I'm not sure how both features can co-exist though.I don't know whether there is a good way to make the two features coexist without making some weird exceptions for wet sponge. I hope someone can figure something out, but if not, am I overlooking something or is the feature that removes the empty lava bucket much more useful that recovering water from wet sponge (as well as having some kind of "seniority" and being already implemented in many automated furnaces)? It's not really discussing bugs anymore but I'd much rather keep my automated furnace working than be able to recover water when I dry wet sponge.
There is maybe a solution (added screenshot)
As soon as the empty bucket turns into a waterbucket a comparator gives a stronger impulse which we can detect
