MC-75067No Data Values for Air blocks
There is no data values for air blocks.
This feature is very useful for mapmakers, players, concepts, projects and many more things.
I'd love to see this in a future version of the game.
ex:
/setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:air 1
will not work
BTW, i couldn't mark it as a non-bug or a suggestion...

Also, data values are phased out in favor of blockstates.

/setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:air 1
will not work, which i unfortunate ;(
Yeah, it used to work. Someone used it to make a scent trail system, and this breaks it.
